As part of our business, ReGen Ventures may collect and hold personal information of the people we interact with including, but not limited to;  founders, investors, job seekers, website visitors, suppliers and service providers.

This Privacy Policy details our commitment to protecting the privacy of personal information provided to us, or otherwise collected by us, when providing our services. In this Privacy Policy, we, us or our means ReGen Ventures Management Pty Ltd (ABN 95 638 202 427) and all of its subsidiaries and affiliates.

As part of our business activities we may collect and hold your personal information including:

• name and contact details including email address, mobile number and address
• dates of birth;
• financial information (if you invest in our fund);
• your nationality and country of birth;
• career history including areas of expertise;
• information required for AML/CTF purposes (if you invest in our fund); and
• government identifiers (such as your TFN where necessary and relevant, which you can decline to quote).

We may collect **Sensitive Information*  about you, with your consent. Sensitive Information is a sub-set of personal information that is given a higher level of protection under the Australian Privacy Principles. Sensitive information means information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, trade union or other professional associations or memberships, philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation or practices, criminal records, health information or biometric information. Provided you consent, your sensitive information may only be used and disclosed for purposes you have consented to or which are directly related to the primary purpose for which the sensitive information was collected, including:

• for the purpose of us maintaining a comprehensive company file;
• for the purpose of information compilation or analysis for internal purposes; and
• in an anonymised format for the purpose of information compilation or analysis to share with third parties.

How we collect and hold personal information

We collect personal information in a variety of ways, including:

Directly: We collect personal information which you directly provide to us, including when you apply to invest in our fund or for us to invest in your company, where you apply to work with us via email or when you request our assistance via email, or over the phone.

Indirectly: We may collect personal information which you indirectly provide to us while interacting with us, such as when you use our website, in emails, or over the telephone.

From third parties: We collect information from third parties, such as:

• third parties we engage to help us conduct background checks;
• recruiters or other businesses in our network; and
• details of your use of our website from our analytics and cookie providers and marketing providers

We only collect, hold, use and disclose sensitive information for the following purposes:

• any purposes you consent to;
• the primary purpose for which it is collected, including to comply with any regulatory requirements;

• for internal record keeping and administrative purposes;
• to contact and communicate with you; and/or
• to provide advice, support and ongoing commercial assistance.

When you invest in, or apply to invest in our fund

• to process an investment application from you and establish your investments in our fund 
• to manage our relationships with you and administer any investment you have with us;
• for internal record keeping and administrative purposes;
• to provide you with information about our fund and portfolio investments
• to send you welcome packs and other onboarding materials; and/or
• to ensure we comply with our legal requirements under any applicable laws and resolve any disputes we may have

When you apply for employment with us, are part of our talent network or provide us with services as a contractor

• to assess your application;
• where you are a contractor or employee, to onboard you;
• to connect people within our community;
• for internal record keeping, administrative, invoicing and billing purposes;
• to contact and communicate with you;
• to comply with our legal obligations and resolve any disputes that we may have; and/or
• if otherwise required or authorised by law.

When your information may be transferred 

ReGen Ventures only transfers personal information as described below. We always observe great caution when transferring your personal information and your personal information is only transferred in accordance with this privacy policy and after taking appropriate security measures. We do not sell personal information to third parties. 

We may transfer your personal information to third party service providers including outsourced admin, legal and regulatory providers, accounting and technology service providers and related entities who may either require your personal information  in fulfillment of their duties, or may have access to this information (e.g. in the case technology SaaS provider). These companies will get access to your personal information to the extent necessary for them to fulfill their obligations, but they may not use or share the information for any other purposesWe will take reasonable steps to ensure that they handle your personal information with the same level of diligence that we do.

Disclosure of your personal information outside of Australia

In certain limited circumstances, your personal information may be shared with the ATO, and / or ASIC which will then exchange this information with equivalent overseas regulatory bodies as a result of Australia’s participation in the Common Reporting Standard and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.

Where in accordance with this Privacy Policy, we disclose your personal information to third parties who reside outside Australia, you agree and acknowledge that we are not required to ensure that those third parties comply with Australian privacy laws.

You have the right to request information about what personal information we are processing of yours and how it is being used by contacting us in writing at info@regen.vc. 

You also have the right to request correction of incorrect, incomplete or ambiguous personal information concerning you by contacting us. For the protection of your privacy and your personal information, we may require that you identify yourself in connection with our assistance.

Cookies are text files placed in your computer & browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your email address or other personally identifiable information. However, they do allow third parties, such as Google and Facebook, to cause our advertisements to appear on your social media and online media feeds as part of our retargeting campaigns. If and when you choose to provide our website with personal information, this information may be linked to the information stored in the cookie.
